On 9 September 2025 the Bar Standards Board advised us that it would take no further action in response to our reports concerning Wendy Miller KC (ref 2025/1503). We have today filed a detailed formal request for independent review of that decision.
The review asks the BSB to reconsider whether the public case summary published on St Philips Chambers’ website risked disclosing special-category personal data and whether the subsequent instruction of the same counsel in a related matter created a conflict or prejudiced concurrent proceedings.
We will not publish further detail while the review is live. We will publish a full account and linked evidence once the independent review concludes.
